"Images to think about" is my page on Pinterest. It is a collection of images that can offer a place to begin to create a bigger picture of how we feel within.We are all made up of "Parts of Self". Some we know about, some, others can see and some are yet to emerge. Image can enable the unconscious to become conscious, Mindfulness experiencing of these images can bring you into the present while offering personal insights.

Survival Back Packs. I volunteer as an Art Therapist at Inner Space ( http://www.innerspace.org.au/ ) , a holistic health centre and needle exchange network where Homelessness is a very real problem for many of the clients. Solving it requires a lot more than just what you or I can do on our own. But that doesn't mean we can't help individual people. I really loved this idea and am going to make a few of these myself.

Creative Sparks (NGO), Svett Moondog (Counselor Art therapist and children's author) and I are working together on this project with refugee and asylum seeking children. This will be one of many projects that Svett and I will be collaborating on. We hope to bring therapeutic creativity, promote community and group integration and have lots and lots of fun using materials from the local environment. We will also engage in movement,music and mindfulness.

Since I went public with my story of alleged childhood sexual abuse it would seem that I have encouraged 8 more survivors to come forward and tell their alleged stories which involve 5 different abusers. I hope the survivors have the support that they will need right now. My heart is with them.

It is mothers day in Australia today. Mothers day was once a time when family spent time being grateful for one another. Sadly, as with many facets of our lives, consumerism is the big winner on this day.As a mother and step mother and grandmother I am grateful that my family appreciate and love me every day.
