I absolutely understand forgiving the small stuff, but when some one in a caring or respected role,  knowingly, and continuously abuses, manipulates and degrades your self esteem and physical body for a life time, and can see no wrongdoing in their behaviours, the act of Forgiveness can seem a bazar and dangerous decision to make.
